Challenge

A bagel and coffee shop earns most of its orders in the minutes before someone walks in or drives past. Those visits come from a phone, often on a slow connection, and the questions are always the same: are you open, what do you serve, and can I order now.

Solution

The site answers those three questions on the first screen, then gets out of the way.

• Opening hours, location and an order button above the fold, on any screen size
• A menu that reads as a menu, not a PDF download
• Online ordering one tap from every page, with the cart kept in sync

Result

The shop has one page to share and one place to update. The menu, the hours and the ordering link change in minutes, without a developer.
